Paradise History
I am still in the process of researching the
history of Paradise but was able to get some really cool stuff from the Enoch Pratt
Library in Baltimore. Thanks to Rebecca for these items. The first is a map of
Catonsville from The Baltimore Sun, November 27, 1932.
If you look very closely at the top right hand corner you will notice that Paradise is referenced. Here is a blown up image.
It states that Paradise was once called Purgatory. Not quite sure why but there are
a few articles that explain how the name got changed. This is an article from the
same paper.
Here is an article from The Sun dated June 4th 1916.
